The Finishing Touch: Details Make the Design

No feature or accessory is too small for Annie to not incorporate into the overall plan of the interiors. Hardware and plumbing fixtures become the jewelry of the home. The trim and piping on upholstery, pillows, and lampshades enhance the color scheme. Objects, either precious or personal, add the finishing touches. For the entrance of a house on the Peninsula, Annie selected an elegant horizontal rim lock in polished nickel.   She paired this with an apple green leather key tassel, setting the tone for a colorful home.

For a San Francisco client who loved vibrant English green, Ann Lowengart Interiors lacquered the family room walls in the shade. Sophisticated textiles and carpeting evoke natural animal hides and prints. Annie accessorized with bold blues and oranges, but it is the addition of a custom navy Greek key trim on the neutral sofa that ties the room's color scheme together.

In this masculine Kentfield office, Annie painted the walls a high gloss gray. The husband loves the color along with modern silhouettes such as the classic Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman and Brutalist form chandelier outfitting the room. He is also an avid football fan who grew up in Miami. Ann Lowengart Interiors honored this by framing a vintage Orange Bowl Stadium Seat in an acrylic display case. The wall art became the finishing touch for the room.
