After 70 years, CLUE’s Tudor Manor received a renovation when Houzz Voters selected a new room for the Hasbro murder mystery board game. Would fans choose a drawing-room, guest bedroom, foyer, or bathroom for the mansion? Drum roll, they went with an elegant bathroom inspired by a photo of Ann Lowengart Interiors’ Chinoiserie Powder Room to replace an existing Great Hall. Annie designed the jewel box of a space for a family who loves blue using a romantic navy and persimmon wallpaper with cobalt lacquered cabinetry. The effect is both beautiful and haunting.

The original CLUE board features a Hall, Lounge, Library, Study, Dining room, Ballroom, Conservatory, Billiard Room, and Kitchen. Readers decided the estate, where its owner Mr. Boddy’s dead body was found, needed a stylish bathroom. Now Colonel Mustard, Prof Plum, Miss Scarlet, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Dr. Orchid can determine "who, where, how" with the functional luxury of a double vanity, freestanding soaking tub, walk-in shower, and gold- plated fixtures. Annie's navy and persimmon wallpaper provide the backdrop while a wood herringbone-pattern floor anchors the room.

Annie was thrilled to be selected as the winning room, "I played Clue all the time in grade school. I'm honored to be part of this cool and nostalgic initiative." The story hit a chord elsewhere with news of the Design Contest and Winner garnering coverage in both US and International press. CLUE's classic murder mystery board game has gone from merely "Who, Where, How" to a stylish "Wow!" The new bathroom holds a final clue; a dropped cut crystal decanter lies on the ground with an unknown gray liquid spilling from it. Was Mr. Boddy poisoned?
